Grooming

Our packages include advising professionals on online grooming, sexual abuse, sexual exploitation against children and child trafficking.  The training has been specifically designed to deliver the right level of training and information to the appropriate audience, whether this is teaching staff, medical professionals, voluntary workers in children's clubs, faith organisations or simply concerned parents or guardians.

Advice on how to protect a child from being groomed is also delivered to parents in a series of bespoke training sessions through a programme called #safeguardmychild™.  Grooming is how paedophiles attempt to build a relationship with a child in order to later sexually abuse them.  If the paedophile is known to the child, the abuse is more likely to happen in familiar surroundings, however if the abuser is a stranger, the grooming is far more likely to be done online.

#safeguardmychild™ teaches parents how paedophiles groom their victims including the online aspects, we advise on how parents can help to protect their child while they are online, how to tell if their child is being groomed online.  We also advise parents on what to do if their child is in contact with someone they are concerned about and what advice they should be giving their children.

With inactive sessions, we also guide parents through privacy settings.  Our former Detectives discuss some of the cases they have been responsible for in the combined 68 years working within the Child Abuse Command and the Homicide Command at Scotland Yard.
